Meghalaya

Meghalaya, meaning "Abode of Clouds," is a northeastern state in India known for its picturesque landscapes, vibrant culture, and biodiversity. It shares borders with Assam and Bangladesh. The state capital is Shillong, often called the "Scotland of the East" due to its rolling hills and colonial charm. Meghalaya is famous for its living root bridges, particularly in Cherrapunji and Mawlynnong, one of Asia's cleanest villages. It is also home to Mawsynram, the wettest place on Earth.
